Formed in 2010 in Inner Mongolia by singer-guitarist Askhan, Nine Treasures fuses heavy metal with traditional Mongolian instruments (morin khuur, balalaika), blending classical singing with throat singing. Their unique sound combines headbanging energy with progressive atmospheres, incorporating unprecedented Mongolian playing techniques on guitar. With four albums already released, the band has established itself as a major player on the Asian metal scene. Their new album Seeking The Absolute, their first signed with Metal Blade and distributed worldwide, marks a key milestone.
