MY BABY JUST CARES FOR ME

Description

Released in June 1958, this was Nina Simone's very first studio recording. It was initially published on the Bethlehem label and features the singer/pianist accompanied by bassist Jimmy Bond (who had been a member of the Chet Baker Quartet, among other groups) and drummer Albert "Tootie" Heath (one of the famous Heath brothers, alongside saxophonist Jimmy Heath and bassist Percy Heath). Many of the tracks on this LP would become true classics, including her timeless versions of "My Baby Just Cares For Me" and "I Loves You, Porgy." Pure 180-gram virgin vinyl LPs, in a gatefold sleeve.
