The innovator, Norwegian trumpeter and producer Nils Petter Molvær presents Be Quiet – a collaborative duo album built on nine tracks with nine distinct artists, including Imogen Heap and John Paul Jones, recorded in cities like Bangkok, Rome, Berlin, and London. Through landscapes of electronics, ambient textures, and jazz improvisation, Be Quiet unfolds as an intimate and spatial collection of recordings – constructed on proximity and contrast, where different cultures, disciplines, and sound identities meet Molvær's unmistakable trumpet voice. The album is accompanied by a documentary directed by renowned Norwegian filmmaker Per Manning, which captures the process, environments, and relationships behind the music, informing the visual world of the project. Be Quiet unfolds as Molvær enters the space of each collaborator, responding in real-time and shaping a body of work that remains fluid, intimate, and constantly in motion.
