THE NEW ALBUM WITH THE PARTICIPATION OF BENABAR, FRANCOIS MOREL, FRANCOIS BERLEAND… Nicolas Peyrac declares about "D'Ici et d'ailleurs": “The album of the Moody Blues Days of Future Passed had deeply marked me by the strength of its songs, and especially because there were no dead times, no stops between the songs, the instrumental passages, and the spoken texts, and I surely always had this idea in my head at the moment when Philippe Lefèvre's wife, a brilliant World music musician, sent me three of his albums... I decided to meet him to tell him how much I loved his universe, his compositions, his arrangements, and I knew that if I had the desire, it would be with him that I would try to make a concept album in the spirit of the one by the Moody Blues that I had loved so much. A crazy idea perhaps, but a number of other crazies took up the challenge with me, whether it was my musicians, Bruno Dupont, the sound engineer and owner of the studio du Bras d’or in Boulogne-sur-Mer, or the guests, Benabar, François Morel, François Berléand, my two daughters, my wife, and of course the enchanting music of Philippe Lefèvre to bridge our universes. It took us a year, but once the order of the tracks was defined, it was just a matter of trials, durations, and placements. I went to refine the album at the studio du Bras d’or with real drums and beautiful Hammond organs that brought an essential warmth and grain. This record could alone summarize my journey of musical and literary writing and it is also a true sharing of emotions and desires around the themes of tolerance, rescue, a planet in peril, human rights, and peace.
