What a tease

To bring summer, the release of NICO YARYAN's first album, What A Tease, was actually missing. Billboard, which streamed the album before its release, said that What A Tease takes Nico's deep thoughts and transforms them into distorted guitar riffs, cathartic melodies with bluesy vibes, and acoustic tracks that plunge into a state of melancholy. NICO YARYAN, who grew up in the hippie communities of Northern California, has always been drawn to music; he loved creating his hip-hop beats, inspired by J Dilla and DJ Premier. What A Tease was recorded at LA Fairfax Studios (FKA Sound City) and produced by Kevin Augunas (Lumineers, Nick Waterhouse, Cold War Kids). It was during a two-year tour as a drummer for Hanni El Khatib, an old friend, that he thought, wrote, and composed his own music. In this album encompassing themes of hope, perseverance, and broken love, he is clearly inspired by great soul and blues storytellers such as Bill Withers and Al Green, as well as the duo John Lennon and Neil Young.
