Description

"Nick Mason's Fictitious Sports" is Nick's first solo album and his first work outside of Pink Floyd. Originally released in 1981, it saw him collaborate with various musicians including Robert Wyatt and Carla Bley. The album was recorded in 1979 during a booked session in America where Nick, Carla and Robert were going to put their heads together, but before the trip, Carla sent Nick a demo cassette: "It was very different from anything she had done before and quite in keeping with what I like" commented Nick in 2012 and these became the nuclei of the album.
