While this new album is clearly Nick Hakim, it represents a shift in tone from Green Twins, reflecting the ideas he grappled with during the making of this record. But that time was just a step towards the three months of creation that led to this album. I hope this music will raise awareness about the situation we find ourselves in right now. About how we live on this planet. About how we treat our neighbors. About community. About depression. About what can heal us and what cannot. About overmedication, overstimulation, and manipulation. About respect and love for the people around us, because one day they won't be here or you won't be here." Nick Hakim has collaborated with many artists including Onyx Collective, Anderson .Paak, Jesse and Forever, Lianne La Havas, and Slingbaum.
