With Falling, his second album, Fonkynson, aka Valentin Huchon, establishes himself as a worthy representative of Montreal's future house scene. After the success of Follow Me, his debut, he reinvents himself by offering more personal and still very dancefloor-friendly productions. There's an evolution in production techniques, as the musician incorporates analog instruments, vocals, and scratching into his compositions. He collaborated with rising local talents such as Toronto's Desiire, singers Kôsa, Vaness, and Montreal's Laurence Giroux-Do (singer of Le Couleur). The nine tracks reveal a blend of musical universes that come together to form a house pop work, the fruit of two years of effort.
