And if he sings in French, Nesles’ original musical grammar is not hexagonal but haunted by the taut assaults of post-punk, fed on the ethereal vapors of dream/cold/new wave, shot through with the raw chords of the songwriting lords from across the Channel, in the vein of Barrett or Drake.
