Nerina Pallot is a renowned British singer-songwriter, active for over twenty years. Discovered while working as an editorial assistant at Mute Records, she signed with Polydor Records and released her first album in 2001. The release of her second album, « Fires », in 2006, critically acclaimed, earned her comparisons to Joni Mitchell, Fiona Apple and Tori Amos. « Fire Escape Symphonies » is her first compilation, bringing together 20 tracks from throughout her career. It includes the hits « Everybody's Gone To War », « Sophia » and her cover of « Love Will Tear Us Apart » by Joy Division, featured in the BBC/RTE series « Normal People ».
