Oceanside Countryside is the latest "lost" Neil Young album to be released as part of his Analog Original Series (AOS). Recorded between May and December 1977, this album precedes Comes A Time (1978). Three tracks – Goin' Back, Human Highway, and Field of Opportunity – appear on both albums. This vinyl version is the first to follow the originally planned sequence, including original mixes from that era. Although some tracks are present in Archives Vol. III, this version pays homage to Neil Young's original intention. He performs all the songs on Oceanside solo, while on Countryside, he is accompanied by a group of talented musicians: Ben Keith (steel guitar), Rufus Thibodeaux (fiddle), Karl T.
