Originally released in 2009, Najoua Belyzel's album Au Féminin was supported by the singles: "Quand Revient l'Été," "La Bienvenue," "M (Hey Hey Hey)," and "Ma Sainte-Nitouche." While listening to a program about the Hundred Years' War, discussing a women's movement in which women refused to bear children to serve the war, the singer came up with the theme for her second album. For her, this album is softer and brighter than her first album. Although the topics addressed remain incisive (cosmetic surgery, infanticide), the main theme is love, a feminine perspective on society. Like in her first album, Au Féminin features autobiographical lyrics and sometimes draws inspiration from others, but this one remains the most personal for the artist. Remastered CD edition.
