My Morning Jacket presents is a "lost" album from 2014/2015 that was originally meant to be released alongside the acclaimed album "The Waterfall." But for various reasons, the band decided to keep it under wraps... until today! From Jim James, the band's singer: "As you listen, remember one thing: this is not a collection of B-sides. These are not tracks we liked less than those that appeared on 'The Waterfall.' In fact, this is the E and F sides of a set of 3 albums including 'The Waterfall' and 'The Waterfall II.' It is simply the second half of a long snapshot of my life as a songwriter up to 2014, and of our life as a band when we were living and working in that magical place called Stinson Beach in California, and its surroundings, during those recording sessions, at a time of great creativity, joy, love, agony, and sadness."
