MY END IS MY BEGINNING (vinyl)

Description

Acid dream-pop? Interstellar electro? Celestial synthwave? Any attempt at categorization quickly proves futile, as this rather astonishing, even sidereal, music gives the – quite exhilarating – impression of a new, utterly unprecedented sound world emerging, sometimes evoking a stratospheric collision between Björk and Aphex Twin. Jointly led by Fabrizio Rat (synths), Linda Olah (vocals), and Isabel Sorling (vocals). One from Italy, the other two from Sweden, these three activists of boundless sound exploration have been living in Paris for years. My End Is My Beginning springs from the friction between crystalline voices (often used in canon) and synthetic oscillations, with the result amplified by various effects (reverb, saturation, dilation...). The music thus generated, both repetitive and ever-evolving, unfolds in layers skillfully (re)composed within an expansive space-time that seems to open up infinitely.
