Description

The Bristol-based label, led by Ishmael Ensemble, has announced its collaboration with The Gallimaufry for the release of an end-of-year compilation featuring some of the promising artists who regularly perform on the scene. The Gallimaufry has long supported popular music from Bristol, with many artists such as Waldos Gift, Grove, Snazzback, TLK, George Ezra, and others finding their footing and musical identity on the intimate stage of the venue over the years. Since Covid, the venue has continued its essential role as an incubator for new talent in Bristol's music scene through its weekly residencies. The new compilation "Something In The Water" focuses on the current wave of young musicians regularly performing at the Galli, and the album aims to showcase the wealth of emerging talent in the city, as well as the respective journeys of the artists from the stage to the studio.
