Jeri-Jeri & Mark Ernestus present 800% Ndagga

Extraordinary collaboration between renowned Berlin producer MARK ERNESTUS (Basic Channel), a group of Senegalese percussionists led by Bakane Seck, and a series of guest musicians and singers. Indeed, we find Baaba Maal, members of Youssou N'Dour's group, and other respected Senegalese artists such as Doudou Ndiaye Rose, Mbene Diatta Seck... In recent years, MARK ERNESTUS has successfully produced remixes of African artists like Tony Allen and Konono N°1. He also compiled a collection for HonestJon's in this vein. In 2011, he traveled to Senegal with the desire to collaborate more closely with local percussionists and musicians. These recordings gave birth to these two albums: 800% Ndagga, which focuses on vocal tracks, and Ndagga Versions for purely instrumental titles. A striking and high-caliber project!
