Founded by George Goldner in 1948, the Tico Records label embodied the golden age of Latin and Afro-Cuban music on the American East Coast. To mark its 75th anniversary, Craft Recordings is releasing a double-vinyl anthology celebrating the legacy of the kings of mambo and cha-cha. 26 flagship tracks recorded between 1962-1972 by Tito Puente, Ray Barretto, Celia Cruz, Eddie Palmieri, Willie Bobo and many others. The compilation is enriched with liner notes by DJ Dean Rudland recounting the history of the legendary label.
