Description

Founded in Liverpool in 2003 by guitarist Pete Smyth, MUGSTAR is a heavy and psychedelic live machine combining the illuminated eclecticism of kraut rock and a love for sonic noise and post-rock attacks. Entirely instrumental and set against visuals reminiscent of the great era of Floyd and Hawkwind, MUGSTAR's music occupies a space somewhere between Lemmy's former band, Pelican, Oneida, and Neu!: Power, trance, and slight coloration. In ten years, the band has released about twenty records published on Important Records, Agitated, Trensmat... and a few film soundtracks to their credit. The English band returns with Magnetic Seasons: an album of nine airy, vaporous, and motorik tracks with psychedelic melodies.
