Backed by an impressive audience thanks to their concerts and social media, the Berlin trio Moses Yoofee released their highly anticipated debut mini-album, Ocean, in November 2023. Published on Nils Frahm's label LEITER, it contains five tracks and was praised by the press and the public. Awarded the German Jazz Prize for Best Live Artist of the Year 2024, the trio responded to constant demand last year by releasing their critically acclaimed debut album on limited edition vinyl. After the first pressing quickly sold out, the trio is repeating their offer: Ocean is once again available on vinyl, right now. The trio — consisting of pianist/keyboardist/producer Moses Yoofee, bassist Roman Klobe-Baranga, and drummer Noah Fürbringer — has set European clubs and concert halls ablaze in recent years with breathtaking, almost obscene performances. Drawing as much from R'n'B, hip-hop, and soul as from more traditional jazz sources, the tracks on Ocean reflect the spontaneity, inspiration, and instinctive refinement of their performances. This summer and fall, the trio returns to the stage with a busy live schedule, featuring headlining concerts and appearances at major festivals such as the Blue Note Festival in New York and Montreux Jazz. Initial dates in Japan have also been announced, with more concerts to follow in Europe.
