Elpmas revisited by Ensemble 0

Description

Based on an original idea by Amaury Cornut, a French specialist of the atypical and mythical musician Moondog, the book-album "Moondog : Elpmas revisitÃĐ" (working title) will link the musical creations of the ''Ensemble 0'' and graphic narratives by 8 authors. The musical part will reproduce the album "Elpmas" in its entirety, a concept album with the woody sounds of marimbas; the book part, based on the story of Elpmas, a true ode to nature and a manifesto against the mistreatment of aboriginal peoples, will be divided into 4 main themes, each addressed by a pair of authors: pulsation (GwÃĐnola Carrere/Bonnefrite), the journey (Juliette LÃĐveillÃĐ/Vincent Fortemps), the ode to nature (Laurent Bourlaud/Etienne Beck) and the cosmos (Guillaume Trouillard/Soia). The sections will be introduced by texts from writers invited to reflect on each theme and on the work of the associated pair, including Guy-Marc Hinant, Patrick Gyger, Blandine Rinkel. The book will be prefaced by Amaury Cornut.Reissue.
