Monsieur Roux: Songs Under Silence “Babouillec by Monsieur Roux: Species in the Making” will be Monsieur Roux’s fifth album. Since 2005, with his first album, “Ah, si j'étais grand et beau,” Monsieur Roux has stood out for his biting lyrics, little scenes from our everyday lives finely chopped up by this word cook. Over 10 years, 4 albums, and hundreds of concerts, Monsieur Roux’s songs become more personal, the man and his lyrics are refined. He travels a lot, meets people, feeds on new sounds, and seems to find his balance. In 2013, at the end of a concert, the singer meets Babouillec, an autistic writer, who writes thanks to paper letters that she arranges on a page. Her texts, with their dazzling poetry, have been published by some and will be staged. As Erwan Roux says himself: “The singer who has nothing left to say is touched by the words of the writer who does not speak.” That was the beginning of a long creative process. This album: “Babouillec by Monsieur Roux: Species in the Making” is the result of this long journey.
