The years spent shaping productions for Spearhead Records find a new culmination with How We Saw Forever, released in 2026, the first full-length album by New Zealand producer Monika. Written during a period marked by an injury, recovery, and several personal changes, the record combines drum & bass rhythms with piano parts, guest vocals, and a deliberately warmer production than on her previous EPs. Contributions from Javeon, Phoebe Freya, and Oktae punctuate a repertoire designed as a coherent whole rather than a succession of tracks intended for clubs, with each piece finding its place in an overall narrative. This work expands Monika's expressive range without renouncing the drum & bass foundations that have accompanied her journey since her early releases on Spearhead.
