Founded in 2015 in Stuttgart by Christian Bluthardt and Yvy Pop, MONDO SANGUE creates music inspired by Italian genre cinema from the 1960s and 1970s, brilliantly transposing its characteristic sound language into the present. To mark the tenth anniversary of their first album *L'ISOLA DEI DANNATI*, MONDO SANGUE presents *REMAKE* as a self-reflexive meta-sequel. Instead of releasing a classic compilation of their greatest hits, the duo revisits the discography of their "Mondoverse" in the style of a director's cut: deconstructed, reassembled, and dubbed by an illustrious lineup of international collaborators. The six previous albums — rooted in the aesthetics of soundtracks, references to Giallo, and pop cinema culture — serve as raw material for these international "remakes." Artists from Germany, France, Italy, Spain, and the United States reinterpret selected tracks, transforming them into an episodic feature film with an unrestrained style that oscillates between disco, italofunk, and pop, while the incomparable charm of classic Italian genre cinema remains the common thread throughout. Among the guests are Andreas Dorau, Stefanie Schrank, Mille Petrozza, DJ Friction, and Zwanie Jonson, alongside international artists such as Eroina (FR), Carlos Valderrama (IT), Arturo Banbini (ES), and Dave Neabore (USA), among others. The legendary Italian film music composer Fabio Frizzi makes a special appearance. Meanwhile, MONDO SANGUE remains firmly in control of this retrospective, offering brand new reinterpretations of their own work.
