Music For Pleasure

Description

Music For Pleasure is the debut studio album by Monaco, a side project of Peter Hook, the bassist of New Order, released in 1997. When New Order took a break after Republic (1993), Hook asserted himself with the sound and spirit of the band and founded Monaco with David Potts. Hook's characteristic pulsing bass lines unified New Order's post-punk-pop marriage, creating such a recognizable identity that Monaco's first single, "What Do You Want From Me?", was often mistaken for a New Order track. Upon its release, the album reached number 11 on the UK charts and sold over 500,000 copies worldwide.Music For Pleasure is available in an expanded edition featuring 6 bonus tracks, including remixes by Joey Negro and Farley & Heller.
