After the success of his single "Afe" (500k streams & a Citroën sync), Mokado returns with a debut techno album with an English sound (Bicep, Four Tet, Daniel Avery...). - - - The debut album from young Parisian producer Mokado, "Marius" is a musical biography with electronic sounds. Assisted by Perceval Carré for the production and accompanied by Loïc Fleury (Isaac Delusion) and Samba De La Muerte on two tracks, Mokado recounts the life of his great-grandfather – a poet and traveler whose notebooks inspired his first EP "Ghosts" – against a backdrop of melancholic techno. Somewhere between the subdued techno of Daniel Avery and the cerebral electro of Four Tet, Mokado transports us into a haunting historical ballet where acoustic marimbas and synthetic drum machines intertwine.
