FE TOKI (viny)

Description

A citizen of the world by virtue of his status as a musician and a Parisian at heart, Moh ! Kouyaté shares his Guinean vision on his second album, Fé toki. Here, Moh !’s art connects with the whole planet. His eloquent guitar absorbs every style: riffs or solos in the Congolese style stand alongside heroic rock flourishes. Yet it is in Conakry that the singer draws the lifeblood of his inspiration. His creations extend the epic of Guinea’s music. Following in the footsteps of Mandingue blues, Moh ! takes us on a journey from the banks of the Niger to the heart of Afro-American music. And yet, while he draws inspiration from the murmur of the world, the musician never departs from the wisdom of the djéli. Because this role, passed down through his family, is first and foremost meant to unite Mandingue society.
