« Rock 'n Roll With The Modern Lovers » is the second album by the band The Modern Lovers. Formed in 1970 by singer, songwriter and guitarist Jonathan Richman, the band was joined by Jerry Harrison (keyboards), Ernie Brooks (bass) and David Robinson (drums). John Felice, a friend of Richman, occasionally joined them. Their sound is almost entirely inspired by the 1950s. This lo-fi record breathes folk music and old-time rock 'n roll. It features the popular tracks « Ice Cream Man », « Roller Coaster By The Sea » and « Egyptian Reggae », a cover of « None Shall Escape The Judgement » by Earl Zero, which charted in the UK Top 5. « Rock 'n Roll With The Modern Lovers » is available in a limited edition of 750 individually numbered copies on silver vinyl.
