Exiled is a remarkable space-themed concept album from 1980, composed by Bob Mitchell and Steve Coe. Blending melodic rock, progressive sounds, and a rich, cinematic science fiction narrative, it was recorded with an impressive lineup of renowned British musicians. Notably featured are Francis Rossi (Status Quo), Dan McCafferty (Nazareth), and Terry Cassidy, accompanied on backing vocals by Hudson Ford, the duo formed by Richard Hudson and John Ford, both former members of Strawbs. Keyboardist Chris Parren enriches the album's sound, while Colin Blunstone (The Zombies) and Lesley Duncan also contribute their voices. Initially released in 1980, Exiled remains today an overlooked gem of British progressive rock: a studio project with meticulous production, combining solid songwriting with an exceptional cast, bringing together some of the most respected British musicians of the time.
