His first album after his "rediscovery" in 1963, it blends traditional blues, folk, country, and African-American spirituals. Listed on the National Register in 2009, its warm voice and masterful fingerpicking make it a classic of the folk revival. Reissued on 180g in the Acoustic Sounds series, from the original master tapes.
