The album was built over three distinct periods, from Brest to Paris, from May to April, a long journey, almost a year.
Brest:
The first thing was to gather the instruments that would define the field of action:
Piano, Roland SH 1000, Yamaha Organ, Mellotron and an Italian drum machine, an Elka. Equipment from before the programming era.
Studio Badabing Paris:
With Julien Delfaud at the controls, we form a quartet with Laurent Bardainne, Sylvain Deniel and Mirabelle. The songs are recorded live following the Dogma, with the addition of Roland and Jupiter basses. Vincent Teigeire adds additional drums.
Studio Garage:
With Dominique Ledudal, it will be more than just mixing. We will reshape certain tracks and carpet the record with guitars, which don't sound like guitars, because it's already February 2018 and the joy of making is, curiously, still there.
