Description

While the duo's fundamentals remain, their compositions have truly taken on a new dimension. With extensive use of loops, embracing their melodic sides, and accepting repetition, they have gained the coherence that might have been missing from their first album, ATLAS. Even if the band still oscillates between styles, implementing punk, post-rock, kraut, and even sludge elements into their instrumental noise rock. As the title, ABANDON, suggests, it should be understood for its polysemy. "To abandon" and "to let go," the almost danceable rhythms intermingle with chaotic atmospheres, while melodies that once seemed joyful darken as they stack up. One must dive in to discover where the waterline will be.
