«Everything's Beautiful» is a tribute to the music of Miles Davis, reinvented by pianist, composer, and producer Robert Glasper (also behind the soundtrack of the film « Miles Ahead ») and elevated by numerous guests, including Bilal, Illa J, Erykah Badu, Phonte, Hiatus Kaiyote, Laura Mvula, KING, Georgia Ann Muldrow, John Scofield and Ledisi, as well as Stevie Wonder. This visionary exploration of Miles Davis's music blends original recordings of the trumpeter with new sound elements, and will be available starting May 27, the day after Miles's 90th birthday. It is because Robert Glasper has built his career on a vibrant fusion of R&B, jazz, and hip-hop that «Everything's Beautiful» stands out from the rest of Miles Davis's discography. Between the familiar (the riffs and passages from the artist's catalog) and the obscure (samples of instructions given by Miles in the studio after false starts), Robert Glasper has created something unique, decidedly modern, and undeniably very « Miles ».
