The collaboration between Miles Davis and tenor saxophonist John Coltrane, from 1955 to 1961, gave birth to one of the greatest successes in music history.
This box set compiles all the recordings of the quintet made during two marathon studio sessions (with Red Garland on piano, Paul Chambers on bass, and Philly Joe Jones on drums) on May 11 and October 26, 1956. As a bonus, this box set also includes the complete content of the previous album by Miles Davis Quintet.
