Following the album "Life in Cartoon Motion" (diamond album in France) & 'The Boy Who Knew Too Much' (triple platinum in France - top 10 on iTunes worldwide) 'The Origin of Love' is MIKA's 3rd album. It will be preceded by the unifying first single 'Celebrate', an epic pop gem that is set to shake the planet this summer. Written by Mika, produced by Nick Littlemore of the band Empire of the Sun and featuring Pharrell Williams, "Celebrate" is an irresistible pop nugget. The result of Mika's imagination and creativity, 'The Origin of Love' took nearly two years to come to fruition, in a very DIY manner; traveling around the world, through encounters and collaborations. In addition to Nick Littlemore & Pharrell Williams, Mika also worked with William Orbit, Benny Benassi, Greg Wells, Klas Ahlund, and some artists he discovered online, like the very young FrYars. For the live performance, MIKA will be surrounded by a group of new musicians also discovered by him on the web. "A collective spirit reigns at the heart of this new album, which deals with somewhat crazy love stories and tolerance," explains Mika. 'The Origin of Love' was recorded between London, Toronto, Miami, New York, Los Angeles & the south of France.
