Description

Mika Miko was a band from Los Angeles from 2003 to 2010 that played a mix of power pop and danceable 70s-style street punk and post-punk. It was formed by sisters Jennifer and Jessie Clavin (who would later form Bleached) along with Michelle Suarez, Jenna Thornhill, and drummer Jon Erik Edrosa. After an EP in 2004, the band signed with Kill Rock Stars in 2006 with new drummer Kate Hall to release C.Y.S.L.A.B.F., which allowed them to tour across the United States, Europe, and Japan. The band returned to Post Present Medium in 2007 to release their EP 666, and their second and final album (with another new drummer, Seth Densham) We Be XUXA in 2009, before disbanding in 2010. Mika Miko was very influential and an integral part of the Los Angeles scene in the early to mid-2000s, around the club The Smell. This limited edition with screen-printed cover and poster is a best-of compilation of their earlier works, compiled by the band.
