Nervous psyche or meticulous punk, Mickle Muckle has been stirring since 2018 with their ill-tempered shenanigans and an energy ready to bite. Waking up on the wrong side of the bed after too long a lockdown, the band is eyeing the creation of their first album since the singles BROKE and LOST paved the way. It took a bit of patience, taking the time to try things and then start from scratch. Eight months to compose, to venture into recording differently — a few drum machines for an even tenser sound, several microphones to capture the movement of the voice and twist the material until it scratches, stings, and bounces. A first album conceived as a reset, marked by wandering but especially by urgency: TIT FOR TAT, an eye for an eye, no time for regrets. 9 tracks filled with rage and hallucinated visions, alternating between wild accelerations and stops in the fog. A roaring album, reminiscent of the fury of Idles and Osees, and where one can detect the shadow of The Fall and Suicide.
