The Patience

Description

The reason Mick Jenkins decided to title this album “The Patience” reflects what it took for him to get here. Having to wait to free himself from a label that did not support him or see his vision was frustrating. He had to wait to release his best music, because he wanted to do it with a partner who believes in him and in the way he wants to present his art. While he waited patiently, Mick worked on this incredible project that has truly become something special. Mick compares himself to a Michelin-starred chef when he put together the lyrics for this album; perfecting each line, incorporating rhyme schemes and complex metaphors. He said he simply wanted to show off his rap skills and prove that he was better than most.
