Intoxicated Man / Pink Elephants

Description

"Intoxicated Man" (1995) and "Pink Elephants" (1997) feature Mick Harvey's English adaptations of songs by the legendary Serge Gainsbourg. This double album includes two previously unreleased tracks, "Dr Jeckyll" and "Run From Happiness". Harvey wanted to get involved in this project to satisfy his own curiosity about Gainsbourg's music and, above all, his lyrics. This collection includes the French singer and poet's classics, as well as dozens of lesser-known, intriguing, and original tracks. The album features "Anita Lane," "Bertrand Burgalat," "Warren Ellis," "Nick Cave," and "David McClymont."
