Lovely Gold

Description

MICHAEL YONKERS is a true unsung legend of the underground. Most of this solitary and reclusive songwriter's albums had never seen the light of day until the DRAG CITY label realized the enormity of the situation and decided to re-release them. Lovely Gold, recorded in the 1970s, reveals the different facets of this poet of sound and words. It features subtly layered vocal and guitar tracks that make his melancholic songs utterly hypnotic.
