Description

These concerts took place so many years ago now, and both Mike and I were touring separately with our bands in Europe. That night, October 18, 1987, we were scheduled to perform in the same venue. A brotherly rivalry unfolded, and we tried to give our best to outdo each other. It's incredible to think that at that time we had been following different paths since our split in 1982. I had been with my band for a while with Berg, Ilg, Kikoski, and Joe Baron, very "straight away" as we used to say, while Mike was just starting out with his new lineup, and it was their first European tour. The competition was fierce in that venue that was particularly dear to us, the 'Fabrik in Hamburg.' And memorable. Let's let the record replay that part.
