MICACHU & THE SHAPES
GOOD SAD, HAPPY BAD
Micachu is the nickname of Mica Levi, a young prodigy artist and producer who possesses every talent.
She returns to service with her Shapes for this new opus after a four-year hiatus during which Mica composed, among other things, the soundtrack for the film Under The Skin directed by Jonathan Glazer, a symphony for the London Philharmonic Orchestra, and produced Tirzah's album.
In 2007, Mica ended her musicology studies to release her first album two years later, Jewellery, produced by Matthew Herbert! A more than conclusive first attempt, as the album was acclaimed by the entire music press. This was followed by much more experimental albums that did not achieve the same success as this first album, using a vacuum cleaner or bottles as instruments...
Good Sad, Happy Bad thus marks the return of Micachu & The Shapes, an album faithful to their musical deconstructions and kitsch melodies, resonating like whimsical pop-punk. Mica Levi once again demonstrates undeniable technique and boundless imagination!
