Experimental metal band led by Jens Kidman, Meshuggah was founded in 1987 in Umeå, Sweden. Constantly improving their technique and showcasing an innovative vision of music, the band quickly integrated into the very select circle of "cult" bands. The Scandinavians offer a unique sound, deconstructed polyrhythm with tumultuous riffs, displaying incredible musical mastery. Highly influential since their first album "Contradictions Collapse" released in 1991, the band has continuously reinvented itself over the six studio albums that followed. "I" by Meshuggah is an epic piece (over twenty minutes long), fierce and with dizzying technical complexity! In the wake of the celebrations of their 25th anniversary, the Swedish extreme metal band Meshuggah announces the reissue of the EP album "I", originally released in 2004 and sold out since. This special edition is not only remastered but also includes three tracks that do not appear on the original edition; two tracks recorded live during their Ophidian Trek World Tour 2012-2013 as well as an unreleased track, "Pitch Black", which was recorded in July 2003 at their own studio Fear & Loathing in Stockholm.
