This album is from the early days of Mercedes Sosa. The one that revealed "L'Indienne" to the general public. It was recorded in 1961. She performs 12 songs, most of which were composed by the duo Oscar Matus (her husband) and Armando Tejada Gómez. She asserts the popular foundations of her inspiration, which will often earn her the title of "the poetic voice of the silent majority." An original cover signed by Sabát, the great illustrator of Clarín in Buenos Aires.
