Oeuvres pour piano

Description

At 90, pianist Menahem Pressler - now a soloist - has never looked so spry. From Saint Petersburg, at the end of December, to Berlin, at the beginning of January, pianist Menahem Pressler keeps on celebrating his 90th birthday, as if he needed to convince himself of his advanced age, belied by appearances. And to give as many concerts as there are candles to blow out! Menahem Pressler skips no repeat, luxuriantly stretching out these weightless spans; but in the scherzo’s dancing rhythms, he lets a youthful, mischievous joy burst forth. Unwaveringly optimistic.
