Claire de Lune : Debussy - Fauré - Ravel
Description
For more than half a century, from 1955 to 2008, Menahem Pressler distinguished himself as the pianist of the legendary Beaux Arts Trio. For the past ten years, he has dedicated himself to an exceptional solo career. At 94, he releases his first solo album for Deutsche Grammophon, for which he has recorded a program dedicated to Debussy, Fauré, and Ravel. Indeed, French music and musicians have played a decisive role in the development of his career, which was launched after the war with the success of a First Prize at the Debussy Competition in San Francisco in 1946. This album is dedicated to Lady Annabelle Weidenfeld, who accompanies the pianist in his new solo career.
