The first MELVINS demos finally available on vinyl! Three years before their official debut, three high school friends, BUZZ OSBORNE, MIKE DILLARD, and MATT LUKIN, put a few hundred dollars into recording their demo. Although the band hadn't yet found the sound they're known for today (this is fast, snotty hardcore punk "that'll clear your sinuses" according to a journalist of the time!), this album reflects their teenage frustration of being prisoners in a small suburban town and contains the potential, fueled by that furious resentment, that would make MELVINS one of the most creative, borderline neurotic, and above all, most authentic bands rock knows today. Buzz Osborne's hilarious comments speak not of the recording, which he no longer remembers, but of the completely uninhibited life they led at that time in their run-down town.
