Description

3+5 is the highly anticipated eighth album from the iconic Japanese noise-rock band Melt-Banana, and their first in seven years. It is released on their own label A-Zap. The album showcases the duo's visionary musical approach and their extraordinary abilities as performers: Yasuko Onuki's stunning and hyperactive vocals and Ichiro Agata's glitchy, cyberpunk guitar, delivered at a dizzying speed, are immersed in aggressive electronic sounds. 3+5 synthesizes elements from a variety of extreme music genres, including hyper-pop, classic punk, vintage metal, and noise. It draws inspiration from Japanese culture as a whole, particularly from the subcultures of gaming, anime, and underground music.
