Melissa Etheridge, global rock icon and major cultural figure, presents her new album Rise, to be released on the legendary label SunRecords. With a career spanning over three decades, 16 studio albums, and multiple awards (2 Grammy Awards, an Oscar, a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame), Etheridge continues to reach a multigenerational audience through sincere, powerful, and committed music. Produced by Shooter Jennings and Melissa Etheridge herself at Sunset Sound Studios in Los Angeles, Rise brings together ten new tracks that are both intimate and triumphant. Among them: "Don't You Want a Woman" (in partnership with Kansas City Current for the record), "I Can't Call You Anymore", a moving tribute to her late son, and "The Other Side of Blue", co-written and performed with Chris Stapleton. As Melissa sums it up: "sometimes, you taste the dust, then you get back up."
