Meg Lui is a singer-songwriter from Northern California, settled in the Hudson Valley since 2015. In her songs, vivid lyrics and poignant melodies intertwine with a voice that is both intimate and enduring, offering listeners a window into her world through reflections on love, resilience, and the human experience. Born in California, trained at the Berklee College of Music in Boston, musically raised in Brooklyn, and now settled in the Catskills, Meg has released music under the names M. Lui, Grover, and as part of the trio Ember Isles. Her influences, from Freddie Mercury to the Cranberries to No Doubt, Sheryl Crow, and Bonnie Raitt, reflect her taste for artists whose fearless individuality continues to shape her writing and performances. Over the past two years, she has lent her voice to records like Javelin by Sufjan Stevens, Plunge by Sam Evian, Anything At All by Denison Witmer, My Favorite Dream by John Legend, and Pilot Light by Liam Kazar. She regularly performs with Keenan O'Meara and Hannah Cohen, and occasionally with the Hudson Valley country band Critter Bonus.
