Insight/Limited White vinyl

Description

The Norwegian band Mayflower Madame is set to release their third album, Insight. The first two singles, "A Foretold Ecstasy" and "Paint It All in Blue," have already generated a lot of excitement and received extensive airplay, particularly on BBC 6 Music. These tracks reveal the band's signature style, which blends thrilling post-punk, bright shoegaze, and atmospheric psychedelia, enhanced by subtle sonic nuances. The album was mixed and mastered by Maurizio Baggio, known for his work with The Soft Moon, Boy Harsher, and The Vacant Lots, allowing the band to further refine their soundscape, making it both clearer and broader. Insight explores deep themes, featuring hypnotic melodies and dreamy melancholy, while remaining catchy and dynamic. For several years, Mayflower Madame has built a reputation well beyond their hometown of Oslo, with their debut album Observed in a Dream (2016), followed by Prepared for a Nightmare (2020), which solidified their position as leading figures in cinematic psychedelic shoegaze in Europe, heavily influenced by 1980s post-punk and dark romanticism.
